This is a demonstration website. The Club, its associates, its events, and its correspondence are fictional, written for the purpose of showing the breadth of content patterns that EmDash supports. The tone, however, is sincere. We hope you enjoy the read.

Initiate is the introductory tier and is suitable for associates who would like to read the weekly Liquidity Brief, browse the member directory, and attend monthly virtual meetups. Whale is the active tier and includes quarterly in-person gatherings. Sovereign is a small tier with concierge access, the Aspen retreat, and a custom signet ring.

Yes, in either direction. The Member Experience desk handles tier changes on request. Upgrades take effect at the start of the next calendar month. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current annual period.

We do not offer trial memberships. We do offer a refund of the first month's dues on request, no reasons required, within the first thirty days. The refund is processed by the desk within five business days.

Events are announced first in the weekly Brief, then on the Events page, then by direct email to eligible tier associates with capacity considerations.

Guests may attend most regional gatherings and brunches. Guests may not attend the Annual Liquidity Gala, the Aspen retreat, or Cigar and Cipher Nights. The Member Experience desk handles guest registration on a case-by-case basis.

The Annual Liquidity Gala is black tie. Cigar and Cipher Nights are jacket required, no tie. Yacht symposiums are unstructured during the day, smart casual in the evenings. Brunches are come-as-you-are. Aspen retreat: warm clothes, layers, a jacket for the formal Friday evening.

A Member Experience associate handles all cancellations personally. Refunds are issued for cancellations made more than fourteen days in advance. Within fourteen days, the desk attempts to fill the seat from the wait list and refunds proportionally.

The Club's correspondence is written in the language we are willing to read aloud at our own meetings. We have found that a slightly elevated register encourages slightly more considered conversations.

We mean that what is said in private rooms remains in private rooms. The Club does not record or transcribe its conversations, does not screenshot its private threads, and does not allow associates to do so on its premises. This is, in our view, the foundation of any community worth the name.

The Club does not. Our role is to provide the room in which considered conversations may take place. We do not replace the conversation with a recommendation, and we do not, as an institution, hold or trade any digital asset.

Considered means: with deliberation, with patience, with attention to the broader context, and (where possible) over a meal. The word appears in the Club's correspondence with some frequency. We are, on occasion, asked to apologize for this. We do not apologize.

The site is a demonstration of EmDash by Cloudflare, a TypeScript-native CMS built on Astro and deployed on Cloudflare Workers, with D1 for the database and R2 for media. The build was done by DarkHorse AI.

This is a demonstration site. No data is collected, stored, or transmitted. The newsletter form returns a confirmation message and persists nothing. If we built a real newsletter, we would write the privacy policy with the same care that we have written the rest of this site.

The site's design and content are bespoke for the demonstration. The underlying scaffold (EmDash plus Astro plus Cloudflare) is open source and freely available. DarkHorse AI is happy to discuss commissioned work for organizations interested in a similar build.
