The application

A few quiet steps.

Membership is by application. We admit in quarterly cohorts. The application form takes most prospective associates between twenty and forty minutes to complete. The questions are not difficult. They are simply considered.

How to apply

Complete the application form on the Contact page. The form takes between twenty and forty minutes. Take the time it deserves.

The Member Experience desk acknowledges applications within three business days, by email.

For Initiate tier, applications are reviewed in cohorts and decisions are issued within four weeks.

For Whale tier, the desk arranges a brief introductory call after the application is reviewed. The call typically runs twenty minutes.

For Sovereign tier, the desk arranges a longer conversation with a member of the Standards Committee. This conversation has no scheduled length.

On admission, enrollment materials are sent by post. Welcome packages arrive within ten business days.

A note on declined applications

The Standards Committee reviews all applications. The Committee's decisions are final. The Committee does not, as a rule, provide reasons for declined applications, although associates who have been declined are welcome to reapply in any future cohort.

Common questions

Three quick answers.

Can I move between tiers?
Yes, in either direction. The Member Experience desk handles tier changes on request.
Do you offer a trial membership?
We do not. We do offer a refund of the first month's dues on request, no reasons required, within the first thirty days.
What happens if my application is declined?
The Standards Committee does not, as a rule, provide reasons for declined applications. Associates who have been declined are welcome to reapply in any future cohort.
