Marcus Thornberry III

Marcus joined the world of digital assets in 2017, after fifteen years at a midtown investment bank where he had developed a reputation for arriving at meetings six minutes early and leaving twelve minutes after they had ended, regardless of agenda. He is widely credited with coining the phrase 'decentralization is a posture, not a protocol.'

Marcus chairs the Standards Committee. He owns three pocket watches, two of which work, and is the Club's primary liaison to the Aspen retreat venue. He maintains a strict no-Telegram policy from Friday evening to Monday morning, which has caused more than one disagreement and at least one minor international incident.
